#TogetherForBedfordshire | Anti-social behaviour by a small number of people can blight a neighbourhood and our community teams work hard to reduce and deter offending.
The @bedfordcommunitypolicingteam this week obtained a closure order on a property in Shortstown after reported ASB and drug-dealing. Officers have also been involved in keeping dangerous e-scooters – four seized - and dangerous weapons off our streets #JustDropIt.
A different approach to ASB from the @leightonbuzzardpolicing team where officers have obtained a civil injunction against a persistent offender. The order prevents him from entering the High Street – better for community safety and a warning to others across the county.
It’s never been more important for our teams to show their support for our communities and reassure them that we are continuing to police without fear or favour. PCSO Danny Mchugh of our @LutonCommunityPolicingTeam was delighted to celebrate the Durga Puja festival with our Hindu community – it symbolises the Hindu faith, culture and spiritual heritage.
And, following the tragic events in Manchester, we are stepping up our high visibility patrols and other security measures at ALL our key religious venues.
Finally, our officers are out and about at all hours, but that does mean they catch some wonderful images. Officers from the @LutonAirportPoliceUnit were on patrol at sunrise, and this has won their picture of the month !
